2006

Over 600 business professionals and 40+ exhibitors were on hand September 18, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, NJ, for the second annual New Jersey Clean Energy Conference & Leadership Awards. According to Jeanne M. Fox, President of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, New Jersey has emerged as one of the leading clean energy markets in the nation. The success of the Conference bears this out.

“Improving the environment is not optional,” said keynote speaker Jack Duncan, Region Executive, Northern Region and Canada, GE Energy. It should be a key part of companies’ growth strategy, he said, because “if you create value for your customers, you create green for yourself.” The one-day event featured panels and workshops on clean energy options to better New Jersey businesses, communities, and schools. Also featured were the winners of the 2006 New Jersey Clean Energy Leadership Awards. Winners were recognized in 7 categories for their efforts to show that clean energy really is smart business.
