Clean Energy Project Financing
Learn how to execute energy projects with the help of public and private funding that can reduce up-front costs and improve project economics. Leading experts from New Jersey's Clean Energy Financing Program will present the business case for financing options for energy efficiency projects and distributed renewable generation, including technologies such as solar, wind, biomass and combined heat and power. Learn how to effectively apply these financing solutions in context to business goals and changing economic conditions.

Renewable Energy Certificate Markets
Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) will continue to play an increasingly important role in financing renewable energy projects. Learn how to factor REC pricing into project financing and options to participate in the REC market. The program will cover everything from the fundamentals of RECs through the pricing, regulatory issues, and various deal structures associated with REC markets. The panel includes experts who are actively involved in the New Jersey REC market and other REC markets on a day-to-day basis.

Green Building Design
Green buildings are starting to emerge in New Jersey’s built environment. New Jersey now hosts nine “green buildings” certified through the USGBC LEED Green Building Rating System, with more to follow. Green buildings are energy efficient, water efficient, reduce the waste generated by construction projects, and promote the health and productivity of their occupants. Speakers will present their green building projects, for new and existing buildings, along with lessons learned and strategies on how to effectively build green buildings.

Federal Tax Credits
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPACT) offers consumers and businesses federal tax credits for a wide range of clean energy technologies including fuel-efficient hybrid-electric vehicles, energy-efficient products, building improvements and renewable energy technologies. Most of these tax credits remain in effect through 2007. Learn about eligibility requirements and how they work with New Jersey state incentives for clean energy technologies.
