Clean Energy Conference

The 2009 Conference came to a close on Thursday, October 22nd after an exciting two days of panel discussions and presentations centered around the theme Clean Energy Now!

The conference was designed to encourage networking among the speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and attendees and help connect clean energy leaders to viable solutions for saving energy... now!
The opening session of the conference featured remarks from NJ BPU President Jeanne Fox and co-chairs Joan Verplanck, President of the NJ Chamber of Commerce and William Dressel, Executive Director of the NJ State League of Municipalities. Governor Jon Corzine provided opening remarks, followed by keynote speaker, Steven Chu, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy.
The first day of this two-day conference concluded with a networking reception followed by the Leadership Awards Dinner at the Sheraton Hotel located next to the Convention Center. Award winners were announced in seven categories. Summaries of their accomplishments and photos from the ceremony will be added to the Leadership Awards section of this website in the near future.
