Program Costs

How much does it cost?

It will cost a little bit more because new, clean power sources are being built. Your cost will vary based on the CleanPower supplier you select and your monthly electricity usage - check your electric bill for your actual usage. For the average New Jersey home (700 kWh per month) the CleanPower Choice Program could cost between $4.94 and $14 per month, depending on which product you use. And you'll be contributing to the development of renewable sources of energy and the protection of our environment and shoreline. You'll still receive only one bill from your local utility and your CleanPower purchase will show as a separate line. Want to stop the program at any time? You can, without any termination fee.

New Jersey CleanPower Choice Program charges are in addition to your normal monthly charges. Check your electric bill for your actual monthly usage to determine your cost.

Additional options and prices are available with the above CleanPower suppliers. Program eligibility is limited to customers receiving Basic Generation Service from the local electric utility, who are current on payment of their electric bills. Universal Service Fund participants are not eligible.
