How much does it cost?
It will cost a little bit more because new, clean power sources are being built. Your cost will vary based on the CleanPower supplier you select and your monthly electricity usage - check your electric bill for your actual usage.
For the average New Jersey home (700 kWh per month), the CleanPower Choice Program could cost an additional $5.78 to $14 per month, depending on which product you use. And you'll be contributing to the development of renewable sources of energy and the protection of our environment and shoreline.
You'll still receive only one bill from your local utility and your CleanPower purchase will show as a separate line. When you wish to cancel, you can do so at any time with no termination fee.
New Jersey CleanPower Choice Program charges are in addition to your normal monthly electric charges. Check your electric bill for your actual monthly usage to determine what your actual cost will be.
Additional options and prices are available from the CleanPower marketers. Program eligibility is limited to customers receiving Basic Generation Service from the local electric utility, who are current on payment of their electric bills. Universal Service Fund participants are not eligible.
