Having an S-REC account allows a person or company to buy, sell, trade, or retire S-RECs in New Jersey's Solar Renewable Energy Certificate Program.

The following types of users can establish accounts:
LSE:	an electric supplier serving retail electric customers in New Jersey
Broker:	a company that arranges deals between buyers and sellers
Solar Facility Owner:	an owner/operator of a solar electric system
Aggregator:	a company that is managing the accounts of other solar facilities
Other:	a company or person that doesn't fit into the other 4 categories
