ENERGY STAR is a joint program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Retail organizations selling, marketing, and promoting ENERGY STAR qualified products offer businesses and consumers energy-efficient solutions, making it easy to save money while protecting the environment for future generations. ENERGY STAR qualified products will help New Jersey residents reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
New Jersey's Clean Energy Program offers the following array of services, at no cost, to participating retailers throughout the state to assist in increasing sales of ENERGY STAR labeled products.
- Point-of-purchase (POP) materials: We will place available promotional POP materials to help customers identify ENERGY STAR labeled products. POP materials are aligned with the national promotions sponsored by the EPA, such as the "Change A Light, Change the World" campaign.
- Employee training: The program will train retail sales associates so they understand the benefits of ENERGY STAR labeled products, which can help increase sales.
- Website posting: We will list your store as a resource for ENERGY STAR qualified products.
- Additional services: Additional services may also include incentives to reduce the cost of ENERGY STAR labeled products and support in-store promotion events to highlight benefits of ENERGY STAR labeled products.
