Energy Efficiency Stakeholder Group

Meetings - January 23 & January 29, 2020 (rescheduled for February 4, 2020 see below)

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities will be soliciting stakeholder input on New Jersey’s energy efficiency transition through a fifth stakeholder meeting on January 23, 2020. The meeting will focus on a draft cost recovery mechanism proposal for energy efficiency programs, which will be shared in advance of the meeting. The Public Notice for this meeting is available here.  The meeting details are:

Stakeholders interested in submitting comments, regardless of whether they attend the public meetings, may file written comments with the Secretary of the Board of Public Utilities at 44 South Clinton Avenue, 9th Floor, Post Office Box 350, Trenton, New Jersey 08625-0350, Attn: Aida Camacho-Welch or electronically to EnergyEfficiency@bpu.nj.gov in PDF or Word format. Written comments must be received on or before February 6, 2020. Please include an email subject line of “Cost Recovery Mechanism Comments.”

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities previously announced the solicitation of stakeholder input on New Jersey’s energy efficiency transition through a sixth stakeholder meeting. That meeting was originally scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2020, but is now scheduled to occur on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Thomas Edison State College.

The meeting will focus on the application of utility targets, particularly required reductions in energy use, utility energy use reduction targets, quantitative performance indicators (QPIs), and other elements of the structure and process for reviewing energy efficiency program performance. A draft proposal was circulated on on January 30, 2020.  The notice of the date and location change is available here and the updated Public Notice regarding the meeting can be accessed here.
