1. Make sure that the model is rated by ENERGY STAR.

2. Check that the clothes washer has a modified energy factor (MEF) of 2.2 or more.

3. If you are not sure about eligibility, ask a store salesperson for more information.

4. That you are a customer of one of the following electric or gas utilities: Atlantic City Electric, Jersey Central Power & Light, PSE&G Electric, Rockland Electric Company, New Jersey Natural Gas, Elizabethtown Gas, PSE&G Gas, South Jersey Gas.

5. If not able to apply instantly at the register for the rebate, go to a computer and visit NJCleanEnergy.com/CLOTHESWASHERS to download an application.
