Central Air Conditioners
The COOLAdvantage Program provides rebates for qualifying high efficiency central air conditioners. To be eligible, you must purchase, install, and operate a home cooling system that meets all program requirements. Call 866-NJSMART for detailed information.
Promotion Dates
Rebate levels are for purchases made on or after February 15, 2012.

Rebate Levels
There are two tables below, one for customers of Atlantic City Electric, JPC&L, PSEG, and Rockland Electric, and another for customers of Municipal and Cooperative Electric Utilities. Please refer to the correct table.

*SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio), EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio)ACCA Manual J and S outputs are not required for Ductless Mini-Split Systems.
Important:
For all equipment types, (except ductless mini-split systems), ACCA Manual J and Manual S outputs are required to demonstrate that the installed system is sized within 15% variance of requirement and correctly selected for the dwelling. Your contractor will need to provide this information.
Funding is almost exhausted for oil, propane and municipal electric customers who whish to participate in New Jersey's WARMAdvantage and COOLAdvantage HVAC Programs. Applications for purchases made through May 24th will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. The program will be suspended for purchases after May 24th pending availability of additional funds.

Eligible Equipment
Central Air Conditioner rebate amounts are based on the unit's SEER and EER and documentation that the proper installation requirements have been met. Both the condenser and coil must be replaced or installed as a matched set as rated in the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute certified performance criteria.
