For those affected by Hurricane Sandy, an additional $200 per unit will be added to the rebate levels shown for ductless mini-split A/C system purchases made on or after October 29, 2012.  (The additional $200 is not applicable to central air conditioners.) This additional incentive will be processed as a separate rebate check from the above noted rebate check.

Incentives on central A/C systems rated SEER 16/EER 13 were discontinued for purchases made on or after February 24, 2013 except for customers who sustained damage due to Hurricane Sandy and purchased central A/C systems on or after October 29, 2012.

**As listed in the CEE-AHRI Online Database, which can be found at ceedirectory.org and energystar.gov

Important:

For all central air conditioners only: ACCA Manual J and Manual S outputs are required to demonstrate that the installed system is sized within 15% variance of requirement and correctly selected for the dwelling. Your contractor will need to provide this information.

Funding is currently limited and soon will be exhausted for oil, propane and municipal electric customers who wish to participate in the WARMAdvantage and COOLAdvantage Programs.

Hurricane Sandy Relief

New Jersey's Clean Energy Program has enhanced incentives to help residents recover from Hurricane Sandy.  If your home is located in a zip code designated as a "major" or "minor" damaged area impacted by Hurricane Sandy, you will still be eligible to receive a rebate for qualifying equipment installed prior to June 30, 2014.

If your home is located outside the eligible zip code list, you may also qualify for the rebate by demonstrating that you have experienced damage caused by Hurricane Sandy to be evaluated on a case by case basis.

Customers affected by Hurricane Sandy who installed a ductless mini-split system on or after October 29, 2012 will be eligible for an additional $200 per unit on top of the $500 rebate.  This is not applicable to central air units.

Customers seeking  Hurricane Sandy Relief incentives for central air conditioner (SEER 16/EER 13)  purchases after February 23, 2013, and customers seeking the additional $200 for purchases of ductless mini-split air conditioning systems should submit the appropriate application below, and also include a Homeowner Certification Form.  Applications for relief incentives will be evaluated on a case by case basis.  See full Hurricane Sandy Relief details here as well as frequently asked questions

IMPORTANT:  If you have already submitted an application, you only need to submit a Homeowner Certification Form.  However, new submissions require both an application form (below) AND a Homeowner Certification Form.

Eligible Equipment

Rebate amounts are based on the unit's SEER and EER and documentation that the proper installation requirements have been met. In central air conditioner installations both the condenser and coil must be replaced or installed as a matched set as rated in the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute certified performance criteria.
