Heat Pumps
The COOLAdvantage Program provides rebates for qualifying high efficiency heat pumps. To be eligible, you must purchase, install, and operate a system that meets all applicable efficiency requirements. Call 866-NJSMART or see below for detailed information.
Promotion Dates
Current rebate levels are for purchases made on or after February 15, 2012.

Please allow up to 120 days from the date we receive all required information to process your rebate. To expedite the processing be sure to review the instructions carefully and provide all required information and materials.

There are two tables below, one for customers of Atlantic City Electric, JPC&L, PSEG and Rockland Electric, and another for customers of Municipal and Cooperative Electric Utilities Please refer to the correct table.

Funding is almost exhausted for oil, propane and municipal electric customers who whish to participate in New Jersey's WARMAdvantage and COOLAdvantage HVAC Programs. Applications for purchases made through May 24th will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. The program will be suspended for purchases after May 24th pending availability of additional funds. Please check back periodically for new information regarding new potential funding. |

Important:
For all equipment types, ACCA Manual J and Manual S outputs are required to demonstrate that the installed system is sized within 15% variance of requirement and correctly selected for the dwelling. Your contractor will need to provide this information.
Eligible Equipment
Heat pump rebate amounts are based on the unit's SEER, EER and HSPF ratings and documentation that the proper installation requirements have been met. All three rating factors must meet minimum requirements in order to qualify for a rebate.
2012 Application Forms
For systems purchased on or after February 15, 2012:
- COOLAdvantage Application for Atlantic City Electric, JCP&L, PSEG and Rockland Electric Customers.
- COOLAdvantage Application for Municipal and Co-op Electric Customers.
For systems purchased between February 15, 2011 and February 14, 2012:
- COOLAdvantage Application for Atlantic City Electric, JCP&L, PSEG and Rockland Electric Customers.
- COOLAdvantage Application for Municipal and Co-op Electric Customers.
