Direct Install – Status Update for New Program Designed for Smaller Buildings

What is Direct Install?
Direct Install is a turn-key equipment replacement program designed to reduce energy costs of small to mid-sized commercial and industrial facilities with a peak demand that did not exceed 200 kW in any of the preceding 12 months. Facilities must be located in New Jersey and meet program requirements to be eligible for incentives. The program is supported by a network of participating contractors selected to perform energy assessments that identify eligible energy efficiency equipment. These Participating Contractors will also install the qualified measures according to an installation agreement signed by the customer. Customers will pay approximately 20% of the total cost of the upgrade and New Jersey's Clean Energy Program will provide the remaining 80%.

What measures are eligible?
Eligible upgrades, identified by the assessment, may include lighting, HVAC, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and/or gas and refrigeration equipment. Participating Contractors will receive a list of specific equipment options available to customers.

When can I begin participating in the program?
Program application forms are expected to be available in early December. To receive notification once the application forms are available for download from this website, customers may send an email to DirectInstall@trcsolutions.com. When available, a list of Participating Contractors will be posted on this website, at which time customers may begin requesting energy assessments.

Please check back frequently for continual program updates.
