Commercial Existing Buildings Programs
The Large Energy Users Program is designed to promote self-investment in energy efficiency and combined heat and power/fuel cell projects with incentives up to $4 million for eligible projects in the states' largest commercial and industrial facilities. To qualify, eligible entities must have incurred at least $5,000,000 in total annual energy costs aggregate of all buildings/sites.
Benchmarking is a free service that provides a performance assessment and valuable information on how to get your project started. Benchmarking is available to hospitals and other healthcare facilities, municipalities, industries, hospitality, multifamily buildings, higher education facilities, K-12 schools, retail and other commercial accounts.
The Local Government Energy Audit (LGEA) Program is available for local government agencies, state colleges and universities, and 501 (c)(3) non-profit agencies and the cost of the audit is 100% subsidized through NJCEP. After a thorough analysis of the buildings, a detailed energy audit report with a list of cost-justified energy efficiency measures is provided which is a useful first step in the path to energy efficiency.
